Tom Eiland
Partner
Tom Eiland leads CFM’s diversified research practice. His philosophy is: research should be used, not stored in a three ring binder. As a result, he designs research from the perspective of marketing and communications managers, people that need to get measureable results.
Need to know, not nice to know information. This is based on his own professional experience. He began his career as a congressional press secretary. After a decade on The Hill, and armed with an MBA, he left Washington with an eye on business.
He has been a product, marketing and sales manager for B2B and B2C companies from Virginia to Oregon. Tom joined CFM as a partner in 2001, merging his own research company with CFM’s public affairs and public relations practices.
Tom earned degrees from the University of Alabama-Hunstville (BA) and George Washington University (MBA). He volunteers with several Oregon non-profit groups. He enjoys cooking, reading, golf and long bicycle road trips. He is a member of the American Association of Public Opinion Researchers and Healthcare Communicators of Oregon.
