Dan Jarman
Partner
Sometimes its just nice to come home. Dan sure feels that way. He took the opportunity to rejoin CFM's State affairs practice in late 2009, after heading CFM's federal practice for more than 11 years.
As a CFM partner, Dan's primary focus is lobbying the Oregon Legislature, state agencies and local governments, work he undertook after joining CFM in 1996. Dan enjoys familiar territory. Prior to joining CFM he worked in the Oregon Legislature as a committee administrator, press secretary for a House Speaker and staff director for a House Majority Leader.
Even when he was manager of the CFM's federal lobbying operation, Dan stayed well connected to Oregon and policymakers throughout the state. He also stays connected to his community. Dan is chair of the Oregon Zoo Foundation Board of Trustees and serves on the board of the American Red Cross, Pacific Northwest Blood Services Region.
Dan began his professional career on the D.C. staff of Oregon Senator Mark Hatfield. He also was an aide to former American Red Cross president Elizabeth Dole.
Dan graduated from Oregon State University and earned an MBA from the University of Portland. His professional achievement and community involvement was noted in 2005, when he was named by the Portland Business Journal as a "40 under 40" winner, which annually recognizes Portland's top young leaders.
