A beloved family heirloom piano. A courtship story involving piano. A favorite piano teacher. These topics and more will be featured in Portland Piano International’s (PPI) new video campaign, Piano Love Stories.
“Our marketing PR team developed the creative campaign to engage the community with all the piano has to offer — lifetime memories, enjoyment, artistry and awe,” says CFM Account Executive Suzie Giacomelli. “Video is the perfect medium for the project because it allows individual personalities to shine in a format that is easily sharable online.”
PPI Artistic Director Harold Gary, Executive Director Patricia Price and board member Carol Edelman are featured in the first three videos, which were screened and enthusiastically received at PPI’s 13th Annual Portland International Piano Festival last week. Festival attendees were invited to create their own videos on-site with the CFM team.
“This feels like something big. We’re excited about the stories that will be created and highlighted through this effort,” said Price.
“The stories we’ve collected so far are deeply personal and compelling,” said Giacomelli. “They range from romantic love to tragedy. Some are lighthearted and humorous; some are profound.”
The videos will be featured soon on PPI’s YouTube page, Facebook page and new blog. CFM and PPI will be inviting the larger community to share their stories through video. You can view some of the first stories here.
